Fish pendant made from buffalo bone
Large pendant in the shape of a fish; it is carved from beige buffalo bone and inlaid in silver. A lotus flower is chased in Tibetan style on the back. The eyelet has a diameter of 7 mm; the pendant goes well with the silver snake necklaces from Atelier Tibet.
The pendant is elaborately handcrafted in a traditional Tibetan silver workshop in Nepal.
In Tibet, the fish is an ancient symbol of luck and protection. It stands for freedom, fearlessness and spiritual liberation - just as fish move effortlessly in the water, humans should be able to move freely through life and the cycle of rebirths. As one of the eight symbols of happiness in Buddhism (བཀྲ་ཤིས་རྟགས་བརྒྱད་), the pair of fish is particularly associated with prosperity, harmony and protection from suffering.
The lotus flower is a central symbol in Buddhism and stands for purity, enlightenment and spiritual awakening. Although it grows in muddy water, it remains untainted and thus symbolizes the overcoming of suffering and ignorance. The lotus flower represents the path to enlightenment, maintaining purity and clarity despite worldly challenges.

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
