Our shop in Zurich has been here since 1997, and that is how it should stay. Everything in the online shop can be seen, touched and tried on here.

The online shop is a complement for anyone in a hurry or unable to come to Zurich. Items bought online can also be exchanged in the shop.

We are Tibetan women in exile, rooted in the Himalayas and at home in Switzerland for many years. We want to build bridges and keep the culture of Tibet and the Himalayas alive.

If we cannot find something in the desired quality or form, we design it ourselves and have it made in Zurich, Nepal or India.

We want to support craftsmanship in the Himalayas. That is why we mainly sell newly made pieces and only selected antique pieces that already have a history.

We are in close contact with our suppliers and their workshops, with many of them for decades. In this way, we pay close attention to high quality, transparency and good working conditions.

We have the privilege of working with handcrafted goods, often made by hand according to old traditions. They are not mass-produced, and at times they resist today’s retail habits. Each piece is beautiful in its own right, but none is exactly like another. At best we receive series, but with variations.

Can that be sold online? Yes, we say – but only if the commitment is right. We strive to keep images and descriptions accurate and to choose the most beautiful piece we have for every order. And if an item sent out is not to someone’s liking, it can be exchanged in the shop for another piece that suits better.

Unfortunately, it is not a given even in Switzerland: carelessly made silver jewellery can contain impurities such as nickel, cadmium or lead, which can irritate the skin.

That is why we have our imported silver jewellery tested by the Swiss Precious Metals Control and mark it with our stamp. In this way, we vouch for the quality of every piece.

With us, the relationship does not end with the purchase. If a favourite necklace breaks or a stone comes loose from a ring, we repair the piece whenever possible. And if not, we know who can help.

It matters to us that our products are made without environmental toxins and without suffering for people and animals. We know the people who make them and how they are made.

When it comes to CO₂, things are more complicated. Some things are easy: our company vehicle is a cargo bike, and we do not need to fly around the world to stay in touch with the workshops. But part of the goods has to be transported over long distances. Wherever possible, we avoid or shorten polluting transport routes.
