Singing bowls mallets, rubbing and striking woods

There are different ways to make a singing bowl sound. If you strike it gently with a felt or leather mallet, a clear and direct sound is produced. Alternatively, a leather-covered rubbing stick can be rubbed along the bowl to produce a sustained, vibrating sound. If a little water is added to the bowl, the sound changes and fascinating patterns are created.
