Yak wool is the traditional raw material for textiles that are exposed to the cold, sun and elements in the Himalayas. It is not only characterized by its excellent thermal insulation, but is also soft, supple and lightweight. It is also particularly robust, durable and naturally hypoallergenic. Our yak scarves are traditionally hand-woven by women in a foothill of the Himalayas during the winter months using sustainably sourced wool from local animals.
