Mala bracelet made from yak horn, rosewood and turquoise

This traditional mala bracelet consists of dark red rosewood beads with a diameter of 8 mm and a bead cut from yak horn, which is framed by two turquoise beads. The bracelet is available in different sizes, is elastic and adapts perfectly to the wrist . It is handmade in Atelier Tibet in Zurich.

Yak horn is traditionally used in Tibetan jewelry as a natural, hard-wearing material and is considered a symbol of strength, earthiness and protective power.

Rosewood refers to various types of wood from tropical trees of the Dalbergia genus, including Dalbergia latifolia (Indian rosewood). It is characterized by its reddish-brown color, fine grain and a subtle, pleasant fragrance. It is considered harmonizing.

In Tibetan jewelry, turquoise is traditionally used as a symbol of protection, prosperity and health and is an important component of many spiritual and cultural amulets and pieces of jewelry.
