Carnelian necklace with silver, turquoise, amber and old coral
A striking necklace featuring disc-shaped orange carnelian beads with a diameter of approximately 7 mm, playfully interspersed with amber, turquoise, and silver beads. A large, antique coral bead serves as the centerpiece. It has a circumference of 43 cm and fastens with a silver spring clasp. The necklace is handmade at Atelier Tibet in Zurich.
Carnelian is a vibrant orange-red gemstone known for its energizing properties and is often used to boost creativity, courage, and a zest for life.
Amber is a warm, golden-yellow gemstone made of fossilized resin that is known for its protective and healing energy and is often used to promote joy, vitality, and positive energy.
In Tibetan jewelry, turquoise is traditionally used as a symbol of protection, prosperity, and health, and is an important component of many spiritual and cultural amulets and pieces of jewelry.
Coral holds deep spiritual and cultural significance in traditional Tibetan jewelry. Red precious coral (Corallium rubrum) is particularly prized. Since Tibet is a landlocked highland region, coral was imported via centuries-old trade routes from the Mediterranean and Southeast Asia. Today, precious coral is strictly protected, which is why modern Tibetan jewelry pieces like this one are crafted from old, recycled coral.

Brief instructions for measuring ring size:
- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
