Butterscotch amber necklace with silver and turquoise - old materials reimagined
Beautiful old, newly strung amber necklace in the particularly sought-after and precious butterscotch color, with a wonderfully warm shiny patina, interspersed with silver and old turquoise beads - a Tibetan design classic.
The amber beads vary in diameter from approx. 6 to 10 mm and are strung in a gentle size gradient. The necklace has a total circumference of 48 cm and is opened with a silver spring clasp. This unique piece was made from old materials at Atelier Tibet in Zurich.
Butterscotch amber is a special variety of amber with an opaque, creamy yellow to honey-colored hue reminiscent of butterscotch (caramel candy). In contrast to transparent amber, its milky appearance is caused by tiny trapped air bubbles. It is rarer than classic clear amber, especially in uniform shades. In Tibetan culture, butterscotch amber is traditionally used in amulets and jewelry. It is considered a lucky stone, is said to promote spiritual energy and is often combined with turquoise and coral.

Brief instructions for measuring ring size:
- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
