Unique antique silver pendant with turquoise and coral
A unique, older pendant from a Tibetan jewelry collection.
The pendant consists of an expressive, dark veined, natural, deep green Tibetan turquoise set in silver . Small, round-cut corals and turquoise stones are inlaid around it.
The piece comes from an extensive collection of Tibetan jewelry from the 19th and 20th centuries and has probably never been worn. Both the quality of the turquoise and coral and the silver workmanship are exceptionally high.

Tibetan turquoise is a particularly valuable, bluish-green gemstone that is mainly found in the highlands of Tibet and partly in China. It differs from Persian or American turquoise due to its darker coloring with natural brown or black veins and inclusions, which give it a rustic, authentic look.
Corals have a deep spiritual and cultural significance in traditional Tibetan jewelry. The red precious coral (Corallium rubrum), which has been a symbol of life, protection and spiritual power for centuries, is particularly prized. In combination with turquoise and silver, coral beads are a characteristic element of Tibetan prayer beads(malas), amulets and ritual jewelry. As Tibet is a landlocked highland, coral was imported from the Mediterranean and the Southeast Asian region via centuries-old trade routes. Due to their intense red color, they were considered a valuable protective amulet and were used in Tibetan temples as well as in jewelry for lamas and nobles.

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
