Gold-plated Shakyamuni Buddha statue with intricately designed aureole frame, which is around 45 years old, with a beautiful patina that has developed over the years, giving it radiance, depth and a historical character

The Buddha is depicted in the classic bhumisparsha mudra (earth-touching gesture) - the iconic symbol of awakening when Shakyamuni invoked the earth under the Bodhi tree as a witness to his enlightenment. Seated on a detailed lotus pedestal, his calm facial expressions, finely draped robe folds and balanced posture reflect deep inner peace and awakened consciousness.

The opulent aureole frame is extraordinary, richly decorated with mythological figures, lions, elephants, garudas, cloud ornaments and protective beings, which frame the Buddha like a radiant apparition of light. The masterful engraving shows fine reliefs and symbolic animal depictions that embody protection, strength and cosmic order.

Tips:
