Feiner, aus klarem Bergkristall handgeschnittener Buddha in Meditationshaltung auf einem doppelten Lotossockel. Die rechte Hand ist über das Knie zur Erde geführt - die Geste, mit der der Buddha in der Überlieferung die Erde zur Zeugin seiner Erleuchtung anruft- während die linke im Schoss ruht. Trotz der geringen Grösse sind Gesicht, Robe und der Lotossockel klar ausgearbeitet; das durchscheinende Material lässt die Figur je nach Lichteinfall unterschiedlich wirken. Bergkristall gehört zu den geschätzten Materialien für Statuen und Ritualobjekte im Himalaya. Jedes Stück ist aus einem gewachsenen Kristall gearbeitet und dadurch ein Unikat mit eigenen feinen Einschlüssen.

Tips:
