Large Bodhi seed mala prayer chain (⌀ 12 mm)
Large Tibetan prayer chain with 108 large, polished light-colored Bodhi seeds with yellow cords. The diameter of the Bodhi seeds is approx. 12 mm, the circumference of the mala is 108 cm. The prayer chain is made for usin a traditional workshop in Nepal. We deliver the mala in a fine silk brocade bag, which we select individually to match the color.
Bodhi seeds are the products of the Bodhi tree. The term "Bodhi" comes from Sanskrit and refers to awakening, enlightenment and comprehensive understanding. Siddharta Gautama attained enlightenment under a bodhi tree and thus became a Buddha. Since then, the bodhi tree has been a sacred symbol in Buddhism.
