The military takeover and annexation of Tibet by the People's Republic of China is a fundamental violation of international law. The obligations for the international community that actually arise from this are currently neither fulfilled nor recognized by most states. The book clearly contradicts the Chinese narrative that has characterized the international discussion to date. The conclusion of this study of international law is quite clear: Tibet was never part of China!
