China's Diary of Oppression in an Occupied Country

Since March 1959, when the disaffected Tibetan population dared to stage an uprising against the unpopular occupiers, which was brutally suppressed, and following the Dalai Lama's flight to India, the Chinese yoke has weighed heavily on Tibet. In recent years, the Sinicization of the Tibetan people has been declared Beijing's number one goal. Around one million Tibetan students suffer as a result; they are forced to attend boarding schools where only Chinese is permitted to be taught.
