Rosewood mala with silver pendant
Rosewood mala with a pendant in the design of a traditional Tibetan tangka silver coin, as they were in circulation in ancient Tibet. We have it made exclusively in a workshop in India from non-tarnishing recycled silver.
The obverse depicts an eight-spoked wheel surrounded by Tibetan characters within the petals of an eight-petaled lotus: "The Ganden Palace, victorious in all directions". The reverse depicts a lotus surrounded by the eight Buddhist symbols of good fortune (white parasol, conch, treasure vase, victory banner, Dharma wheel, a pair of golden fish, endless knot and lotus flower) within the petals of an eight-petaled lotus.
The mala is available in two sizes:
Variant I: diameter of the beads 6 mm, length of the mala 54 cm; the mala can be enlarged using two cords to wear it around the neck.
Variant II: diameter of the beads 8 mm, length of the mala 70 cm
Handmade in the Tibet studio in Zurich. We deliver the mala in an elegant silk brocade bag, which we select individually to match the color.

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
