Tibetan stud earrings with turquoise and silver · CHARU × Yitso

Distinctive disc-shaped stud earrings: A freely shaped turquoise stone, held in place by a small bead, is surrounded by a finely ribbed halo with a corded edge. The silver clearly highlights the stone’s blue-green color and dark veining, and each stone is slightly different in shape and pattern.

The design is modeled after traditional Tibetan headdress discs, which were set with turquoise, coral, or amber; turquoise has been one of the most prized gemstones in Tibet for centuries.
