Ebony mala with double vajra
Mala made of 108 polished ebony beads, with a double vajra pendant made of brass. The wooden beads have a diameter of approx. 8 mm, the mala is approx. 84 cm long Handmade in Atelier Tibet in Zurich.
Ebony wood is a deep black, particularly hard and dense wood that comes from trees of the genus Diospyros is extracted. It is prized for its durability, beauty and elegance.
The vajra (thunderbolt) and the double vajra (Vishvavajra) are central symbols in Tibetan Buddhism. The vajra represents the indestructible truth of the Dharma, the unity of wisdom and compassion and the power to cut through illusions. The double vajra extends this symbolism, stands for stability and harmony in all directions and represents the cosmic order. Both are used in tantric rituals and mandalas and embody the transformative power and immutability of enlightened nature.

Brief instructions for measuring ring size:
- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
