Tibetan coral pendant with silver setting

Powerful pendant made from polished bamboo coral in warm orange-red, set at the top and bottom in elaborately chased silver caps with floral flower decorations. Wire-wrapped eyelet made by hand. As each coral is a natural piece, the shape, grain and color vary slightly - no two pendants are identical. The pendants are made exclusively for us in a Tibetan silver workshop in Nepal. Available as a single pendant, on a black cord (infinitely adjustable) or on a black leather strap with a silver clasp.

Coral has a deep spiritual and cultural significance in traditional Tibetan jewelry. As precious coral is strictly protected today, modern Tibetan jewelry is made with old, recycled coral or - as here - with bamboo coral, which is considered a sustainable alternative.
