Tibetan folding altar and meditation table
This Tibetan altar piece of furniture is hand-painted, foldable and is characterized by detailed painting and intense colouring. The front is decorated with an expressive chappu - a stylized, fearsome face with a wide-open mouth, wide-open eyes and a flaming mane. This protective symbol, which is often used in Himalayan art, is said to ward off negative energies and spiritually purify the room.
The surrounding floral and ornamental patterns in red, green and gold are typical of Tibetan aesthetics and stand for luck, protection and wisdom. The altar can be folded up in the nomadic tradition and is therefore not only a ritual piece of furniture, but also practical for mobile applications or space-saving storage.
Made by Tibetan artisans in Nepal, it is made of high-quality wood and is artfully decorated with gold and traditional Thangka colors.

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
