Amber necklace with a Tibetan tourmaline pendant
A necklace full of character with a distinct change in material: The front section features large, irregularly shaped amber discs in warm butter- to honey-yellow hues, opaque and with a matte sheen, while the back strand consists of small amber beads ranging from deep reddish-brown to nearly black. Turquoise beads add blue accents, and two fish-shaped silver beads mark the transition between the two amber sections.
The pendant features a dark tourmaline crystal with clear prismatic facets, set in a repoussé silver setting with a vine motif and an oval turquoise cabochon, handcrafted in a Tibetan silver workshop in Nepal.
In Buddhist symbolism, pairs of fish are among the eight symbols of good fortune and represent freedom and abundance. A silver spring ring fastens the necklace.
