Carnelian necklace with smoky quartz pendant
Elegant necklace made from faceted red carnelian beads with a diameter of approx. 4 mm, with a pendant made from four drop-shaped smoky quartz stones set in gold-plated silver. It has a circumference of 41 cm and is opened with a gold-plated silver spring clasp. The necklace is handmade at Atelier Tibet in Zurich.
Carnelian is a bright orange-red gemstone that is known for its energizing effect and is often used to boost creativity, courage and joie de vivre.
Smoky quartz is a transparent to translucent variety of quartz that comes in shades ranging from light gray to deep brown. Its smoky coloration is caused by natural radiation that changes the iron ions in the crystal. Smoky quartz has been used for centuries in jewelry and protective amulets and is considered a grounding and protective stone.

Brief instructions for measuring ring size:
- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
