Partially gold-plated silver mantra ring
This Tibetan mantra ring is traditionally handcrafted in Nepal. It is made of silver and is partially gold-plated. The surrounding mantra Om Mani Padme Hum(ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ) is raised and stands out in color from the silver ring band.
The ring is 1 cm wide and available in various sizes. Thanks to its solid design, it looks sturdy and sits comfortably on the finger. The combination of silver and gold plating gives the piece of jewelry a clear, high-contrast look.
Mantrarings have a long history of significance in the Tibetan jewelry tradition and are worn both as a religious symbol and as a personal piece of jewelry.
Om Mani Padme Hum(ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ) is probably the best-known mantra in Tibetan Buddhism. It is attributed to the bodhisattva of compassion, Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig in Tibetan), and is a central element of the spiritual practice of many Buddhists. The mantra consists of six syllables, each of which has a deeper symbolic meaning:
- Om(ཨོཾ་) - Purifies pride and ego
- Ma(མ་) - Purifies jealousy and desire for pleasure
- Ni(ཎི་) - Purifies passion and desire
- Pad(པད་) - Purifies stupidity and prejudice
- Me(མེ་) - Purifies poverty and possessiveness
- Hum(ཧཱུྃ་) - Purifies hatred and aggression
Together, the mantra stands for the transformation of the impurities of the mind into the wisdom and compassion of an enlightened being.

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
