Tibetan turquoise necklace with a pair of fish pendant in silver
A luminous necklace of fine Tibetan turquoise beads in shades from sky blue to blue-green, some with a delicate golden-brown matrix. From it hangs a silver pendant with two fish facing each other, their bodies forming the shape of a heart; fine lines between them suggest waves. In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the pair of fish is one of the eight auspicious symbols (Ashtamangala) and represents fearlessness and freedom, as unhindered as fish moving through water. The necklace is fastened with a silver spring ring clasp.
Bead diameter 3 mm · Circumference 42 cm · Tibetan turquoise, silver · Made in the Tibet studio
