Khata prayer and welcome shawl made from raw silk
Traditional Tibetan "Khata" (also known as "Khada") made from 100% raw silk. This particularly elegant lucky scarf is hand-woven from silk and printed in gold with the eight lucky symbols and mantras. While most khatas today are made of polyester or cotton, silk is the choice for special occasions and high dignitaries. Packaged in a traditional lokta paper gift box.
Size: 194 cm x 33 cm. Made in Nepal.
The Tibetan Khata is a traditional white cloth used in Tibetan Buddhism as a symbolic gesture of appreciation, respect and good wishes. It is often presented on special occasions such as weddings, births or as a gift for guests. Presenting a khata expresses blessings, peace and goodwill and is an expression of solidarity and support.
