This small pair of "Akor" ear ornaments with their typical ends in the shape of stylized lotus buds is set with flat coral cabochons set in silver. The settings are elaborately decorated with fine silver wires and applied silver beads.
The pair comes from an extensive collection of Tibetan jewelry from the 19th and 20th centuries and has probably never been worn. Both the quality of the coral and the silver workmanship are of a high standard.
Unlike the traditional heavy Akor ear pendants, which were attached to the hair or headgear, this version is attached directly to the ears and thus decorates the entire ear.
Alternatively, they can also be worn with the eyelet as a pendant on a chain.
