Sorig Anti-Wrinkle Cream · Men-Tsee-Khang

A rich facial cream based on a Tibetan medicine formula dating back to a 17th-century physician. Formulated with a base of sunflower and apricot kernel oils blended with beeswax, it contains aloe vera, pomegranate, barberry, turmeric, and kurchi bark. The texture is thick and slightly oily; it is suitable for dry skin and for use during the cold season.

Directions: Apply a small amount sparingly to cleansed skin and gently pat in. Avoid the eye area.

Available in a can or a tube, each containing about 50 g.

The cream is manufactured by Men-Tsee-Khang, the Tibetan Institute of Medicine and Astrology in Dharamsala. The institute was founded in Lhasa in 1916 by the 13th Dalai Lama and reestablished in exile in India in 1961 by the 14th Dalai Lama; to this day, it trains doctors in Tibetan medicine and produces medicines and skincare products in its own pharmacy according to traditional formulas.
