Tibetan tiger wooden casket

Hand-painted wooden box featuring a traditional tiger motif. The fur is painted in fine concentric lines that give the animal its characteristic, lively pattern; the motif is framed by chiseled brass fittings at the corners and a vajra-shaped (dorje) clasp.

Our small boxes are crafted by Tibetan artisans living in exile in Nepal, following traditional methods. Each piece is hand-painted and decorated with colorful traditional symbols such as dragons, tigers, snow lions, or cheppu—the motifs vary, making each box one of a kind.
