Tibet turquoise necklace with horse pendant
Lively necklace made of Tibetan turquoise with a silver horse pendant - handmade in Atelier Tibet in Zurich.
The fine spherical Tibetan turquoise beads with a diameter of 4 mm show the typical variety of colors of the stone: from bright turquoise blue to rich green to deep brown and black tones, interspersed with natural veins - individual coral beads are incorporated as color accents. A three-dimensionally cast, galloping wind horse made of silver hangs as the centerpiece.
Tibetan turquoise has been considered one of the most important protective stones in Tibetan Buddhism for centuries - it is said to protect against negative energy, attract good luck and strengthen the connection to the spiritual world.
In Tibetan Buddhism, the wind horse (lungta) is one of the most important symbols of good luck. It stands for life energy, luck and the upward wind of the spirit:
- The wind horse carries the wishing gemstone jewel (norbu) on its back and connects earth and sky.
- It symbolizes the power to carry good energy and prayers in all directions - hence the central motif on Tibetan prayer flags.
- The galloping horse stands for freedom, strength and the unhindered flow of happiness.
