Trotting horse - silver pendant from the Himalayas
Expressive silver pendant in the shape of a trotting horse, with finely chiseled details in the mane, coat and tail. Floral tendrils and blossoms are worked into the back using traditional craftsmanship. The pendant is made exclusively for Atelier Tibet in a traditional Tibetan silver workshop in Nepal - in a small limited edition for the Year of the Fire Horse.
The height (incl. eyelet) is approx. 30 mm, the width approx. 32 mm. The diameter of the eyelet is 5 mm.
In Tibetan Buddhism, the horse - as a lungta or wind horse - is one of the most important symbols of all. It stands for luck, life energy and the upward wind of the spirit:
- The wind horse carries the wishing gemstone jewel (norbu) on its back, thus connecting earth and sky.
- It symbolizes the power to carry good energy and prayers in all directions - which is why it is the central motif on Tibetan prayer flags (lungta flags).
- The galloping horse stands for freedom, strength and the unhindered flow of good fortune.
As these are traditional hand-forged pieces, they may differ slightly from the picture.
