Horse head with mane - silver pendant from the Himalayas

Expressive silver pendant in the shape of a horse's head: front with naturalistically engraved mane strands and detailed horse face with eye and nostrils - back with finely chiseled flower and tendril work on a grained background. The pendant is made exclusively for Atelier Tibet in a traditional Tibetan silver workshop in Nepal - in a small limited edition for the Year of the Fire Horse.

The height (incl. eyelet) is approx. 54 mm, the width approx. 31 mm. The diameter of the eyelet is 6 mm, which means that the pendant can also be worn with larger chains - e.g. snake chains.

In Tibetan Buddhism, the horse - as a lungta or wind horse - is one of the most important symbols of all. It stands for luck, life energy and the upward wind of the spirit:

  • The wind horse carries the wishing gemstone jewel (norbu) on its back, thus connecting earth and sky.
  • It symbolizes the power to carry good energy and prayers in all directions - which is why it is the central motif on Tibetan prayer flags (lungta flags).
  • The galloping horse stands for freedom, strength and the unhindered flow of good fortune.

As these are traditional hand-forged pieces, they may differ slightly from the picture.
