The word mala(माला) comes from Sanskrit and literally means "chain". The Buddhist prayer chain is also a meditation aid. Counting the mantras calms the mind, promotes concentration and spiritual progress. Atelier Tibet offers high-quality malas made from wood, bodhi tree, lotus and rudraksha seeds, gemstones and other materials. These include decorative malas with pendants, silver beads and tassels. Many are knotted in our studio in Zurich. We send each mala in a matching bag made of fine silk brocade.
