Mala made of Mongolian jade with a hand-forged silver bead

A timeless mala made of Mongolian jade in earthy shades of brown, gray, and olive, whose beads are interspersed with lighter inclusions and cloud-like patterns. It is capped by a large, hand-forged silver bead featuring a relief of a stag; a wine-red tassel hangs below it. The deer refers to the pair of gazelles that, in Tibetan Buddhist iconography, flank the Wheel of Dharma and recall the Buddha’s first sermon in the gazelle grove of Sarnath.

Bead diameter approx. 9 mm · Silver bead 25 mm · Circumference 92 cm · Mongolian jade, silver · Silver bead hand-forged in Nepal · Handcrafted in the Tibet Studio
