Manjushri Klein statue made of copper
Striking statue of Manjushri made of copper - patinated in a warm reddish brown, with a lively surface texture and carefully chiseled details.
The deity sits in the lotus position (vajrasana) on a double-row lotus throne with a pearl-studded edge. The right hand swings the flaming wisdom sword (khadga) above the head - it cuts through the veils of ignorance. The left hand is raised in front of the chest in vitarka mudra (gesture of teaching) and holds the stem of a lotus blossom on which the book of prajnaparamita (perfection of wisdom) rests. The headdress and high crown follow the Newari style with delicately worked ornaments; the neck ornament, belt and the finely interwoven robe are carefully worked out; curved lotus tendrils flank the throne on both sides. The face is calm and turned inwards.
Manjushri is the bodhisattva of wisdom - the embodiment of discriminating insight (prajna), which recognizes the essence of reality. The flaming sword in his right hand cuts through ignorance and misconceptions; the book on the lotus flower embodies the perfect wisdom of the Buddhist teachings. The mantra Om A Ra Pa Tsa Na Dhih, which promotes sharpness of mind and knowledge, is dedicated to him.
The statue is intended for ritual filling - a traditional act of consecration that activates the figure as a Dharma object.
Made in a traditional artisan workshop in Nepal.

Brief instructions for measuring ring size:
