Amitayu's small copper statue
Characterful statue of Amitayus made of copper - patinated in warm red-brown, with a lively surface texture and carefully chiseled details.
The deity sits in the lotus position (vajrasana) on a double-row lotus throne with a pearl-studded edge. Both hands rest on top of each other in the lap in dhyana mudra (gesture of meditation) and carry the bumpa - the long-life vessel with the nectar of immortality. The headdress and high crown follow the Newari style with delicately crafted ornaments; the neck ornaments, earrings, belt and the finely interwoven robe are carefully crafted; curved lotus tendrils flank the throne on both sides. The face is calm and turned inwards.
Amitayus is the Buddha of limitless life - the sambhogakaya form of Amitabha, who embodies long life and the immeasurable lifespan. The vessel in his lap contains the nectar of immortality (amrita); dedicated to him are special long-life practices and a long-life mantra, which are recited in Tibet for the benefit of a long life dedicated to the Dharma.
The statue is intended for ritual filling - a traditional act of consecration that activates the figure as a Dharma object.
Made in a traditional artisan workshop in Nepal.

Brief instructions for measuring ring size:
- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.

- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
