Delicate Tibetan prayer chain made of rosewood with a protective brass mandala amulet, with a brown or dark green cord. Ahe Tibetan protection symbol "Sripaho" (or "Srid-Pa Ho") is engraved on the front of the amulet. On it are 8 trigrams ("Ba Gua"), 12 signs of the zodiac, Buddhist symbols and the image of the "magic square" in the center. The amulet is intended to protect the wearer from harm. An Om is engraved on the blank back.
The mala is approx. 52 cmlong and the diameter of the wooden beads is approx. 5 mm. It ishand-knotted in the Atelier Tibet inZurich.
Rosewood refers to various types of wood from tropical trees of the Dalbergia genus, including Dalbergia latifolia (Indian rosewood). It is characterized by its reddish-brown color, fine grain and a subtle, pleasant fragrance. It is considered harmonizing.
