The painting is of very high quality. As with all of the thangkas available from Atelier Tibet, this is a one-of-a-kind piece that has been painstakingly crafted by hand and is only offered once in its details and colors.

These thangkas are hand-painted on canvas by the most experienced artists in Nepal according to the strict iconographic rules of the Tibetan style using traditional colors. They captivate with their intense colors, intricate details and deep spiritual symbolism. The brocade frame is vegan and woven with classic patterns. The thangka is covered with an orange silk veil for protection and decoration.

Description of motif:

This thangka shows the White Tara in the center, one of the most important deities in Tibetan Buddhism, revered for longevity, healing and compassion. She is recognizable by her white body color, which symbolizes purity and spiritual clarity. The White Tara sits in a meditative posture on a colorful lotus flower. Her right hand shows the gesture of generous offering, while her left hand holds the stem of a blue lotus flower raised in front of her chest - a sign of wisdom and enlightenment. Her seven eyes are characteristic: one each on the palms of her hands and soles of her feet and an additional eye on her forehead, expressing her all-seeing compassion for all beings. She is richly adorned with jewelry, a golden crown and filigree ornaments, while the background of flowers, clouds and water emphasizes her peaceful, healing energy.

In the lower left area of the thangka, Amitayus (Amitabha in his longevity aspect form) is depicted, colored red, sitting in a meditative posture with a longevity bowl (vessel with nectar) in his hands. He symbolizes infinite life and wisdom and is often invoked in longevity rituals.

In the lower right area is Ushnisha Vijaya (Namgyalma), the white longevity goddess with three faces and eight arms. She holds various ritual attributes, including the longevity sceptre and the wisdom wheel. She embodies purification, protection and the extension of lifespan by removing obstacles and negative karma.

Together, these three deities form a powerful symbol of long life, healing, wisdom and protection, worshipped in rituals, meditations and blessing ceremonies in Vajrayana Buddhism.

Brief instructions for measuring the ring size:
Method 1: Measure the inner diameter of a suitable ring
  • Take a ring that fits well.
  • Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
  • Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
Method 2: Measure the circumference of your finger
  • Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
  • Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
  • Mark the point where the ends meet.
  • Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
  • Find the right size in the table.
Tips:
  • Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
  • If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
  • Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
