Statement mother-of-pearl necklace with Tibetan silver bead

A striking necklace featuring large mother-of-pearl beads, each 12 mm in diameter. At the bottom is a silver bead, handcrafted exclusively for us in a Tibetan workshop in Nepal, depicting the lucky symbol of a pair of fish.

The necklace has a circumference of 46 cm and opens with a large silver spring clasp. It is handmade in the Tibet studio in Zurich.

In Tibet, the fish is an ancient symbol of good fortune and protection. It represents freedom, fearlessness, and spiritual liberation – just as fish move effortlessly through water, humans should be able to move freely through life and the cycle of rebirths. As one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism ( བཀྲ་ཤིས་རྟགས་བརྒྱད་ ), the pair of fish is particularly associated with prosperity, harmony, and protection from suffering.
