Dainty peridot necklace

Fine necklace with olive green, transparent peridot beads and a silver spring clasp. The beads are approx. 2 mm in diameter and approx. 40 cm long. The necklace is made in Atelier Tibet in Zurich.

Peridot is a transparent, olive-green variety of the mineral olivine and is one of the few gemstones that occur exclusively in one color. Its characteristic green coloration results from the iron content in the crystal lattice. Peridot forms in magmatic rocks and can occur in both volcanic basalts and meteorites. The stone is said to stimulate the heart chakra and promote emotional balance.
