Carnelian mala with tassel and Om-ॐ medallion

Lively mala necklace made from faceted carnelian beads in bright orange-red with a color-coordinated silk tassel and blackened silver medallion with the Om symbol (ॐ). The beads show the typical semi-transparent depth of carnelian with a slight sheen. Oxidized silver accents on the cap and medallion create a sophisticated contrast to the warm stone color. It is handmade in the Tibet studio in Zurich.

Carnelian(Cornalina) is one of the oldest gemstones in the world and was already worn in ancient times as a stone of protection and strength. Its warm, fiery color is traditionally associated with vitality, courage and creative energy. In the Indo-Tibetan tradition, it is considered the stone of the sacral chakra - it is said to strengthen inner warmth and joie de vivre and ground the wearer.

The Om medallion bears the most sacred mantra of Hinduism and Buddhism. Om is regarded as the primordial sound from which everything originated - past, present and future united in a single sound. Worn as a pendant, it reminds us of the connection with the essential and accompanies meditation and breathing exercises
