Vibrant malachite necklace with a freshwater pearl

A delicate pearl necklace made of rich green malachite, whose small beads display the concentric banding characteristic of the stone. In the center, a white freshwater pearl nestled between two reddish-orange coral beads provides a bright, serene accent to the deep green. As far back as ancient Egypt, malachite was used as a gemstone and as a raw material for green pigments, and it was also known as an ornamental and coloring stone in ancient Greece and Rome. The necklace fastens with a silver spring clasp.
