Rosewood necklace with rudraksha set in silver
Necklace made of rosewood beads with a diameter of 8 mm, with a large rudraksha seed set in silver with Tibetan motifs (34 x 20 mm). The necklace has a circumference of 80 cm. It is made in Atelier Tibet in Zurich and the pendant is handmade in a traditional Tibetan silver workshop in Nepal.
Rudraksha are seeds that are extracted from the fruit of the rudraksha tree (Elaeocarpus ganitrus) and play an important spiritual role in Hinduism and Buddhism. The name "Rudraksha" is made up of the Sanskrit words Rudra (a name of the god Shiva) and Aksha (tear), which makes them "Shiva's tears".
Rosewood refers to various types of wood from tropical trees of the Dalbergia genus, including Dalbergia latifolia (Indian rosewood). It is characterized by its reddish-brown color, fine grain and a subtle, pleasant fragrance. It is considered harmonizing and is associated with compassion, inner peace and protection.
