Finely crafted, gold-plated Phurpa ritual dagger
This phurpa is an elaborately crafted, gold-plated ritual dagger sculpture from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. It is a unique piece. With a height of 21.5 cm and a diameter of 5 cm, it is one of the medium-sized, decorative and ritual variants of this powerful object.
The Phurpa consists of three main areas, which are closely linked symbolically and in terms of craftsmanship:
The handle area shows an expressive, three-faced protective deity face (typical of Vajrakīlaya/Dorje Phurba), richly decorated with fine ornaments, stylized decorative elements and flame motifs. This figure symbolizes the ability to transform negative energies and penetrate obstacles.
The middle section is designed with structured, organic-looking shapes reminiscent of traditional representations of sacrifice and purity. The sculptural design lends the phurpa depth and richness of detail.
The triangular dagger point, characteristic of every phurpa, represents the severing of ignorance, passions and negative influences. The blade shape is clearly elaborated and also gold-plated, giving the entire object a uniform, warm sheen.
In Vajrayana Buddhism, phurpas are not understood as physical weapons, but as symbolic tools that stabilize the mind, create clarity and evoke protective energies. This piece is suitable both for ritual practice and as an impressive artisanal collector's item.

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
