Palo Santo incense cords - handmade in Nepal
This special incense is a harmonious combination of two high mountain cultures: produced in the Himalayas, but with a precious raw material from the Andes. Palo Santo ("holy wood") has been used in South America for centuries in rituals, to cleanse rooms and to support spiritual ceremonies. Its warm, slightly sweet scent with citrus and resin notes has a clarifying, calming and uplifting effect.
Although Palo Santo is not part of the traditional Himalayan incense culture, it has been included in our range by popular demand as a fragrant addition and as a symbolic greeting from another mountain world.
Each cord is approx. 9-10 cm long, one bundle contains approx. 25 cords. They are made entirely by hand from sustainably harvested Palo Santo wood from Ecuador - from being filled with finely ground wood powder to being artfully twisted into the paper.
To burn, the cord is hung on a hook or in a suitable incense cord holder, which is available separately from Atelier Tibet.

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
