This Tibetan prayer necklace, made of 108 carefully selected, polished quartz beads in a refreshing light green with delicate, natural markings, has a spring-like and luminous quality. Three small silver beads mark the sections of the strand; it is finished with a large, hand-forged silver guru bead featuring finely chased floral decoration, from which hangs a green tassel.

A mala traditionally consists of 108 beads and is used in the Buddhist tradition as a prayer beads for recitation.
