Blue-and-orange tigers on a cream-colored background—playful, powerful, unmistakably Tibetan: Sonam Yesi’s tiger motif covers every side of the cylindrical bag, including the wide shoulder strap. In Tibetan iconography, the tiger is a symbol of courage and dignity; here it appears in Sonam Yeshi’s characteristically free, narrative style, reminiscent of Himalayan folk art. Inside, a vibrant turquoise-blue Taftet lining shines through—a striking contrast that makes opening the bag a delight. The strap can be adjusted continuously from shoulder to crossbody length using a snap button; an interior compartment with a blue drawstring keeps contents organized.
Made of 100% cotton canvas, sewn by Tibetan craftswomen in Dharamsala, with brass hardware. Limited edition.
Designed by artist Sonam Yeshi for Studio Losel, her contemporary Tibetan lifestyle label founded in Dharamsala. Sonam Yeshi—of Tibetan-American descent and a graduate of Parsons in New York—develops her print designs from large-scale paintings and objects inspired by Tibetan symbols, animals, and the nature of the Himalayas. Studio Losel was founded in 2025 together with her mother, Kim, and produces limited editions in collaboration with Indian hand-weaving workshops.
