The painting is of very high quality. As with all of the thangkas available from Atelier Tibet, this is a one-of-a-kind piece that has been painstakingly crafted by hand and is only offered once in its details and colors.
These thangkas are hand-painted on canvas by the most experienced artists in Nepal according to the strict iconographic rules of the Tibetan style using traditional colors. They captivate with their intense colors, intricate details and deep spiritual symbolism. The brocade frame is vegan and woven with classic patterns. The thangka is covered with an orange silk veil for protection and decoration.
Description of motif:
This thangka shows a standing yellow-gold figure against a red background, adorned with traditional Tibetan Buddhist ornaments and dressed in a finely patterned robe in blue, brown, white and turquoise. The figure is standing on a lotus blossom, symbolizing purity and enlightenment.
The chakras are depicted along the central axis of the body, each in the form of a lotus flower with a different number of petals and with Sanskrit bija syllables inside. At the very top, above the head, there is a large violet-white lotus chakra with many petals. In its center are two feet, representing the crown chakra (Sahasrara), which symbolizes the connection to the highest or Buddha nature.
Between the eyebrows is the forehead chakra (Ajna) with three syllables on a red background. The throat chakra (Vishuddha) in brown-gold with the corresponding syllable can be seen at the level of the neck. The heart chakra (Anahata) is located in the middle of the chest and is purple with a syllable in the center. The navel chakra (Manipura) is red and is located above the navel, below it is the sacral chakra (Svadhisthana) in gray-white with another mantra, and at the lower end is the root chakra (Muladhara) in white with four petals.
The figure has a calm, concentrated aura. Both hands point slightly downwards with open palms, a gesture of openness and giving. Jewelry on the wrists and ankles as well as floral decorations on the shoulders and in the hair frame the image. To the right and left of the figure are lines of Tibetan or Sanskrit mantras in white, presumably related to chakra teachings or verses of blessing.
This image is used for meditation and visualization of the chakras as subtle energy centers in the body. It supports practitioners in harmonizing their inner energy, releasing blockages and strengthening their connection to their own highest consciousness. If you wish, I can structure the individual chakras with their names, colors, syllables and meanings for your studies and your texts on these thangkas.

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
