More from Tibetan singing bowls
Recently viewed
In Buddhist countries from Tibet to Japan, metal instruments have been used for ceremonies, prayers and chants for hundreds of years. The "singing bowls" as we know them today have only become widespread since the 1970s.
At Atelier Tibet, we only offer premium quality bowls that are traditionally handcrafted in family-run factories in Nepal. They are made from an alloy of seven metals that are symbolically assignedto the seven celestial bodies visible to the naked eye , which were regarded as "planets" in the Tibetan Buddhist and Vedic tradition:

This composition not only has a positive influence on the character of the sound, but also stands for energetic balance, purification and inner equilibrium in many traditions.
The warm, floating sound is created through precise hammering in several steps - each bowl is unique with its own timbre. When rubbed or struck, a harmonious sound with a long reverberation unfolds, bringing body and mind into harmony.
The singing bowls are carefully selected by us for their sound and appearance. The "Tiger Finishing" variant has a characteristic hammered design with a tiger skin-like structure. These are medium-sized singing bowls with a weight from approx. 700 g and a diameter of 16 to 21 cm.
