Mala bracelet made of Tibetan turquoise with coral and Om ॐ
Mala bracelet made from Tibetan turquoise - handmade in Atelier Tibet in Zurich. The spherical Tibetan turquoise beads with a diameter of 7 mm show the typical rich green with darker veins and inclusions - each stone is an unmistakable piece of nature. Two cylindrical coral beads in bright terracotta red are incorporated as a color accent. A round silver Om pendant ॐ hangs as the centerpiece.
Tibetan turquoise has been considered one of the most important protective stones in Tibetan Buddhism for centuries - it is said to protect against negative energy, attract good luck and strengthen the connection to the spiritual world. In the Tibetan tradition, coral stands for vitality, protection and positive energy. The Om symbol ॐ as the primordial syllable of the universe connects body, speech and mind.
Corals have a deep spiritual and cultural significance in traditional Tibetan jewelry. The red precious coral (Corallium rubrum) is particularly prized. As Tibet is a landlocked highland, coral was imported from the Mediterranean and the South East Asian region via centuries-old trade routes. Nowadays, precious coral is strictly protected, which is why modern Tibetan jewelry pieces like this one are made with old, recycled coral.
The bracelet is strung on an elastic band - no clasp, just slip it on - and is available in different sizes.
