Bodhi seed mala with silver beads and tassel
Tibetan prayer necklace with 108 dark Bodhi seeds, three small silver beads and a large, hand-forged silver Guru bead with Tibetan dragon motifs, made for us by Tibetan silversmiths in a workshop in Nepal using traditional methods. A decorative dark red tassel is attached. The prayer chain is knotted by hand in the Atelier Tibet in Zurich. The necklace has a circumference of approx. 86 cm, the bodhi seeds have a diameter of 1.2 cm and the silver guru bead has a diameter of 2.5 cm.
We deliver the mala in an elegant silk brocade bag, which we select individually to match the color.
Bodhi seeds are the products of the Bodhi tree. The term "Bodhi" comes from Sanskrit and refers to awakening, enlightenment and comprehensive understanding. Siddharta Gautama attained enlightenment under a bodhi tree and thus became a Buddha. Since then, the bodhi tree has been a sacred symbol in Buddhism.

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
