"He represents universal human values"
Kelsang Gyaltsen was His Holiness the Dalai Lama's representative in Europe. He got to know him as a personality with an uplifting attitude and a strong power of persuasion, which is transmitted to people around him and generates incredible strength.
Interview with Manuel Bauer
"Like a little Bird"
Winterthur photographer Manuel Bauer has known and been friends with the Dalai Lama for over thirty years. He has accompanied him on countless trips around the world as his official photographer. He was allowed to photograph him meditating at five o'clock in the morning and was able to sense what facial expression or movement he would make next. He experienced how even people in the highest social positions let their masks slip when they spoke to him.
Interview with Walo Kamm
"It was a revelation for me "
Walo Kamm has traveled the world and founded the Globetrotter travel company. He first met the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala in 1967. Most recently, he initiated and produced the documentary film "Wisdom of Happiness - A Heart-to-Heart with the Dalai Lama". Kamm explains how the Dalai Lama has influenced his life.
Interview with Karma Lobsang
"One should be aware without judging"
Karma Lobsang has met the Dalai Lama many times and presides over the Tibet Institute in Rikon. She teaches his Buddhism to strengthen human compassion, which leads to ethical action.
Andreas Gruschke
The 14th Dalai Lama
Tibet, roof of the world: it is difficult to fathom the extent to which fairy tales, myths and misconceptions shape the image of Tibet and its religion in the minds of people in the West. Hardly any Tibetan, however, is as well known around the world as the reigning Dalai Lama.
Manuel Bauer
Escape from Tibet
In 1995, Manuel Bauer shared the fate of Kelsang and six-year-old Yangdol for four weeks. They fled across the Himalayas to India. The journey was life-threatening. The tragedy is representative of many Tibetans who had to leave the country because of the violent occupation by China. It was a fight for life and death

- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
