Large dark Bodhi seed mala prayer chain (⌀ 13 mm)
Large-format Tibetan prayer chain with 108 carefully selected, large and polished dark Bodhi seeds. The mala is made with four yellow cords and is carefully handcrafted for us in a traditional workshop in Nepal.
Bodhi seeds come from the Bodhi tree, which has a central spiritual meaning in Buddhism. The word "Bodhi" comes from Sanskrit and means awakening or enlightenment. It was under a bodhi tree that Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment and became the Buddha. Since then, the bodhi tree has been a sacred symbol of wisdom, knowledge and spiritual awakening. Malas made from Bodhi seeds are therefore often used for meditation and mantra practice.
The 108 beads correspond to the traditional number of mantra repetitions in Buddhist practice and support calm, concentrated meditation.
We supply the mala in an elegant silk brocade bag, which we select individually to match the color.

Brief instructions for measuring ring size:
- Take a ring that fits well.
- Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (from one inner edge to the other).
- Compare the diameter with the table to determine the ring size.
- Take a thin strip of paper or thread.
- Wrap it around the part of the finger where you want the ring to sit (not too tight).
- Mark the point where the ends meet.
- Measure the length of the strip in millimeters. This is the inner circumference.
- Find the right size in the table.
- Measure the finger size in the evening, as fingers swell slightly during the day.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.
- Make sure that the ring fits over the knuckle.
